I have been to the buffs a few times and Im continually surprised then shocked. Most recently I swiped my member card through the machine and it spat out a bunch of vouchers to use because its my birthday this month... I took my free drink voucher to the bar and asked for a Cab Sav. The young man proceeded to get a wine glass and bottle of white wine from the fridge... I said mate its a red... he replies oh! You want a red wine. He rattles around through some bottles on the floor and says I have a Cabernet? At this point Im thinking youre either not listening to me or not suited to be behind the bar. So I then sit and order a meal. The menu lacks any real kind of imagination - I mean its full of 6 kinds of schnitzel... you dont need that many! Yes they have steaks, and yes they have a fish... but the menu was a bit repetitive and limited. Had a steak. It was good. But again surprised that I would have to pay extra for mash instead of roast potatoes or chips.
I am horrified with the service of courtesy express. Twice I've tried to use it and failed. First time, I call from home and asked for a service and an answer was that waiting time approximately 2 hours . Honestly, In a small city where all directions 7-10minutes drive. Ok, maybe it was not my day. Tried to used it second time in the morning and get from the club to home with a 4 years child. Was waiting for a driver for an hour. Yes, the service starts at 11.00 and I was waiting till 11.00. When a driver came at 11.15 the only I've heard " sorry mate you should wait one hour more till I bring some people." What ??? Where a clear instruction how the service opperats? Or a driver desides with way take people? Even a lady at the desk wasn't aware about rules. The only thing she could tell " sorry". It is not a service it is just a pretending to have one.
I am from gold coast visiting my daughter, spent time in club, staff were helpful & friendly, good range of beers on tap, price at bar& bottle ship were good, only thing I could fault was poker machines I played weren't very friendly, otherwise great place
Nice, friendly service. Didn't wait long for food. Steak was slightly undercooked, but still tasted great. Beers on tap at a reasonable price. Supervised play room for the kids, $2 for 2 hours, great value. Lots of parking. Pokies, front bar, bottle shop, coffee shop, plus function rooms.
Food it typical pub food, quick service and food was nice. It was nothing fancy but hot and quick. Portion sizes are quite large so keep in mind if you don't enjoy large meals.
